ClickHelp Release Notes: December 2025

This release brings context-aware editing to WriteAssist, opens up advanced AI customization, and increases file upload limits to 1 GB.

Context-Aware WriteAssist

WriteAssist has received a major upgrade and is now exclusively available through the AI Suite add-on.

The new engine understands your content as a whole. Instead of analyzing isolated text fragments, it reads the entire topic and considers your documentation structure (ToC) to ensure suggestions match your writing style and logical flow.

We also increased the processing limit to 75,000 characters, allowing the AI to handle your largest topics in a single pass. As part of the AI Suite, WriteAssist now shares the flexible CAPs allowance with AnswerGenius, giving you a unified pool for all AI tasks.

AnswerGenius Customization

We added new self-service controls to the AnswerGenius settings, giving you direct command over the bot's behavior. You can now:

• Define industry-specific terminology and abbreviations to improve query recognition.
• Control the response style, such as enforcing specific formatting or requiring code examples.
• Set a specific persona and name to align the bot with your brand voice.

1 GB File Uploads

We increased the file size limit from 100 MB to 1 GB across the platform. You can now host high-resolution video tutorials, large resource archives, and complex PDFs directly in ClickHelp. This limit applies to both the File Manager and API uploads.

Improvements & Fixes

• Contributors can now compare topic versions in Source mode to track precise changes in HTML tags and attributes.
• Accessing AnswerGenius via API now requires only the AI Suite license, removing the need for a separate API add-on.
• Added an option to disable the automatic greeting message in the AnswerGenius chat widget for a cleaner, minimalist interface.
• Moved "Ask Your Docs" to the Tools menu to streamline the main navigation.
