In ClickHelp, you can customize a topic template using the Topic Master Page settings. Setting up a custom topic template will save you a lot of time as you can create a custom topic footer or header just once and apply it to all your projects.
In order to get to the Topic master page settings, go to Settings → Topic Template → Topic master page. There you can configure the following fields:
- Page title. A page title (the <title> tag) is the most important factor for on-page SEO. It is also usually used by search engines as the title of your page in search results. Use {TITLE} as a placeholder for an article title and add some custom text before it. For example, it can be your company or product name.
- Additional tags. Insert any addtional tags that you need. This piece of markup is applied to the end of the <head> section of your topics.
- Topic header HTML. This piece of markup is appended right before the content of your topics.
- Topic footer HTML. This piece of markup is appended right before the closing </body> tag of your topics (after content).
The Topic Master Page settings provide technical writers with great opportunities that allow:
