ClickHelp Release Notes: February 2026

This month's update brings you more control over AnswerGenius, opens code samples to the API, and tightens up security defaults across the board.

AnswerGenius: Choose What It Knows

AnswerGenius now works with the publications you point it at — nothing more. Go to Settings → AnswerGenius → Portal widget and select which publications it covers in the Visibility & access section. AG answers only from those publications, and the widget shows up only there.

Code Samples: Automate Updates

Code samples are now visible and editable in source mode. Global Find & Replace now works on them too, and you can update them through the API.

SSO: New Users Get Access Automatically

When a new team member logs in via SSO for the first time, ClickHelp can create their account automatically. You set the rules — which domains are allowed, what roles new users get.

This feature is not enabled by default and is available only with the Enterprise Security add-on, so you don't have to do anything.

Secure Password Reset

Password resets now use a secure link. It expires in 24 hours by default — adjustable from 1 to 168 hours in Settings → Security → Password Strength.

Hide Disabled Users

There's now a "Hide disabled users" checkbox across the portal. Handy if your portal has accumulated accounts over the years and the lists have gotten unwieldy. Works great alongside Auto-disable inactive users.

Modern Reader UI Branding (Early Beta)

Branding style file and script are now supported in Modern Reader UI. Contact us to find out more.

The new version will be gradually rolled out within a few weeks. You'll receive a notification 72 hours before your portal's update. The process is seamless with no service interruptions.
